The Scenson Rail Class 1 is a type of electric high-speed train operated by the NSR in Scenson. They are electric multiple units using Fiat Ferroviaria's tilting train Pendolino technology and built by Alstom. Fifty 9-car units were originally built between 1999 and 2001, with an additional 36 cars built between 2003 and 2005. It is the oldest of the five Scenson Rail Class trains. The Scenson Rail Class 1 has a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h), making it the slowest of the Scenson Rail Class trains.
